Directions

Our New Haven office is located one block from the Peabody Museum on the corner of Whitney Ave. and Bishop St. Our Woodbridge office is located in the 100 building of the 1 Bradley Road Complex on the corner of Amity Road (Route 63) and Bradley Road in the Amity area. It is easily accessible about 1/2 mile from Exit 59 off of the Merritt Parkway (Route 15). Both of our offices are located with access to CT Transit bus service.

OFFICE HOURS

At CAHC, we generally have 9 to 5 office hours Monday through Friday. Both of our office locations are open daily. Because we are a smaller practice, we do have some flexibility and our physicians sometimes have office hours beginning earlier in the mornings or later in the day.  Our helpful staff can assist you in making your child's appointments.

WEEKENDS/HOLIDAYS: We do ask that if your child requires an urgent visit on the weekend that you contact our physician in the morning to schedule a convenient time to come in to the office. Our physicians have availability 365 days a year but weekend and holiday visits are urgent care only and on a shortened schedule. Emergency calls are always welcome 24 hours a day.

At CAHC, our physicians are always available for urgent or emergency calls after hours or on weekends. If you have an urgent issue with your child you may call our regular office numbers and our answering service will contact our physicians to respond to you. Your call should be answered within 20 minutes. If you do not receive a call in 20 minutes, please call back and verify your contact information. Please also be sure that your phone is set to allow all incoming calls--even from a caller-ID blocked phone number. We do ask that non-urgent calls be made during office hours (appointment scheduling, medication refills, etc.). Weekend/Holiday urgent visits are available by contacting the on-call physician.

Accepted Insurance Carriers

At CAHC, we accept most insurance plans. Please call our Woodbridge office at 203 397-1243 to verify your insurance participation. It is important that you inform us of any changes in your insurance plan as soon as possible. Please also remember that it is very important to bring your insurance card with you at each and every office visit for verification.

Payment Options

At CAHC we do accept cash, checks and credit card payments. Specific billing questions can be directed to our Woodbridge office.

Appointment Scheduling Details

You may call either of our offices to schedule appointments at both locations. Because our Woodbridge office has a larger staff, we would prefer that you call that number first if possible.

Well child visits (check-ups) are generally scheduled 3-4 months in advance. Please keep this in mind if you have specific requirements for scheduling your child's examinations (sports or camp physicals, school physicals, etc.).

Facilities and Equipment

At CAHC, we have been using integrated electronic health records for several years. This allows us full access to your child's records from either office. We also are participating with a program called CHADIS which gives us a way to interact with families prior to your visit to gain information related to your child's physical and mental health as well as their safety so that we can better discuss your child's specific needs.

Hospital Affiliations

At CAHC, all of our physicians are affiliated with Yale New Haven Hospital Children's Hospital. If your baby is born at another hospital, we are happy to take over your child's care once he/she has been discharged from their birth hospital.
